  • Independence Day

"Born on the 4th of July"

I was born on a little rock called Guam just about 30 years ago. Yes, you read that correctly. I am 30, my life litteraly over. I'm taking it pretty hard, I'm unsure, scared, and wondering if I'll ever get by. Actually Guam  is 20 hours ahead of Hawaii. So I was actually born on the 5th of July. Story of my life, a day late a dollar short. I guess that could explain why I'm such a late bloomer. Do I  wish I had ended up in a different place with a different life. Actually, now that I think about it. NO. If my life had taken a different path, I wouldn't have met all the interesting people. The people that I have in my life now are priceless. I have met some people that I consider a neccessity in my life. Without them I would not have a life, a purpose, and a reason to smile so much. I'm sure we all would be just fine if we all had not met. However, I know that my life is a million times better for having them in my life.

  • I have been thinking a lot about people and friendship. I don't understand how someone can be so important and integral in your life at one moment and  not mean anything to you in the the next moment. Enjoy the company you are with, circumstances, fueds, rivalrys, and petty things will come between people. Some things like death take people away as well. Death is part of life, I just have a hard time letting some people go. People will come and go and hopefully your friends will be there when you need them.

    FRIENDSHIP PROMISE

Are you tired of all these "friendship" poems that always SOUND good,
but never actually SPEAKS to reality. Here are a series of promises
    that
    really speak to true friendship:

    1. When you are sad - I will help you get drunk and plot revenge
    against
the sorry bastard who made you sad.

    2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

    3. When you smile - I will know you finally got laid.

    4. When you are scared - I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

    5. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how
much worse it could be and to quit whining.

    6. When you are confused - I will use little words.

    7. When you are sick - Stay the hell away from me until you are well
again. I don't want whatever you have.

    8. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.

This is my oath...I pledge it till the end. "Why?" you may ask? because
    you are my friend.

Remember: A good friend will help you move. A really good friend will
    help you move a body.

Let me know if I ever need to bring a shovel

Send this to 10 of your closest friends, then get depressed because you
    can only think of 4.
